Geotechnical Engineering has been developing specialist skills in civil contracting since 1960. 
These include design and construction of basement retention systems, drilling, grouting, ground 
anchors (both temporary and permanent), soil nails, rock bolts, bored piles, sheet piles, 
shotcreting, bulk earthworks, complex concrete and steel structures.

Geotech has also developed specialised equipment and construction techniques in its capacity as 
main contractor on a diverse range of Civil Infrastructure projects including dam upgrades, 
tunnels, hydro electric projects, irrigation systems, piers, batter stabilisation (including 
rockfall netting and fencing) and sea walls.

The company also has experience in both construction and design development within an alliance 
contracting model. Geotech won the National MBA award for our piling, shotcrete and soil nail 
work at the Middleborough Road/Rail Separation Project which is testament to our alliance value. 
We drive innovation and quality on all our projects, exemplified by the Dartmouth Dam Pondage 
Raising, for which we also won a National MBA award.
